I was looking for a DLNA / UPNP player, and its doing the job :) The player isnt perfect, the integration could be enhanced (the quicktime plugin is quite light :s) Theyre is still few bugs but it works for me. (Bug example, while looking a video and closing the viewer, the video is still playing). For me, the app is ok :)

I use this software for streaming my music library from my windows PC to my Macbook via UPnP and it simply works and does what its supposed to with an intuitive user interface. The only other mature/usable UPnP client software for the Mac I know is XBMC which is a media center software and thus isnt really suited to be used as a simple player you can run in the background while doing other stuff. Another positive experience was the fast and friendly answer to my feature request in the vendors support forum. All I can say is, that I recommend this software to anyone who needs an easy to use UPnP client/controller that simply gets the job done.

Plugplayer works good and stable. It is the best DLNA control for Jriver I have found so far. (because it works the way I want it to work) The only problem is that PP for Mac and PP for Ipad seem to work a little bit different which is a little bitt odd sometimes

This program crashes all the time. It doesnt react. It is simply unfinished, not working. Actually Im thinking about sueing the Company and Apple. This is clearly Fraud!

I have a Linux minidlna server and a number of Sonos Play:3 and Play:5 targets. I am using this application as a DLNA controller in order to stream MP3 and OGG files from the Linux minidlna to the speakers, and the application works exactly as advertised, working nicely around the memory and song number limitations of the Sonos speakers. Great work, I am very satisfied.

This program is like a fake. I don’t understand, why Apple allows to solve this in the store. It doesn’t find any dlna renderer in the network. It even cannot play the mp3-music on the mac itself. DON’T BUY IT.

Great app to control a Linn DS from my Mac. Of course, if Linn comes out with Kinsky for desktop, then the app will have some serious competition. Its very fluid, and the U.I. is user intuitive. "It just works". If it doesnt work for you, then rethink your network or equipment. Ive tested this many places, and it worked well except one; On a wifi based network (ANTENNA>ROUTER>MAC>ANTENNA>ROUTER>SOURCE FILES>ANTENNA>PLAYER) (OR SOMETHING SIMILAR) it lagged a bit. Thats because I was using Studio Master (big files), but it only lagged when loading. It was fien afterwards. Well done. I tried with my WDTV, didn work as well though. That may be in part, WDTVs fault.

Can browse my media on my twonkey server but the player is just horrible. Why cant you let me use vlc or mplayerx to play back the content?

i tried to watch the video in nasne. actually, this app retrieved the list successfully, but unfortunately, it couldnt played the video… i hope further enhancement on that point. (nanseに入ってる録画済みのvideoのリストは見れますが、視聴はできませんでした,,,)

It simply did not work for me. At one point the programme crashed constantly on start-up. It would not recognise my itunes folder, until I de-chose photograph sharing. Then it played, but the whole thing freezes after one track, and does not continue through a playlist. It does not recognise AIFF files, nor AAC 24 bit ones. I hope the programme is improved, but this has not been updated for two years now.

I was seeking DLNA server and controller with ability to FFWD my Samsung TV. Unfortunatley this one doesnt allow it. So I had to switch to another solution which can.

Too many bugs, always loose connection with DNLA players, crashes all the time Bad support, there is no updates for many many months

Well… At least this player works and does’t crash. Most others don’t.

Need shuffle support

The app fails to render any movies on my Twonkymedia server which is read perfectly fine by my Xbox 360. After that first run, it no longer sees the Twonky. The menus still have default framework entries, like "Close New Application" and "Quit New Application". It also fails to detect the PC media shares and my DirecTV media renderers. All in all half-baked compared to the iPhone product which is much more solid. Wait till v1.5 or later. Wasted my $5.

Worked at the first try. Found my Linn Klimax and Twonky server without any delay. Defenitely recomend it for linn users have found it to be more stable than songbook.

Did not found my MS Homeserver because of Interferences with an installed Eye Tv. But great support from the developer and the app is working fine. This app does the in OSX missing support for UPnP servers and can be recommended.
